The Pūkeko tamariki are guided as they navigate social complexities of big ideas and different opinions by a supportive teaching team who recognise the endless learning possibilities. Tamariki are empowered to develop lifelong skills to regulate their emotions, take the lead in their learning journey shaped by their interests and manage their own belongings.

Your Childs Day
The Pūkeko Room is carefully curated each day to ignite curiosity and expand on children’s individual interests. With guidance from Kaiako, children are encouraged to view themselves as confident, capable learners eager to try new things. Essential skills such as independence, self-help, emotional regulation, and problem-solving are nurtured, building a foundation for lifelong learning and boundless possibilities.
With mountain views and sunshine-filled grassy play areas, the Pūkeko Room is a welcoming oasis for exploration and fun. Children can climb, run, dig, and create within our tree-lined space. From sensory play, music, art, dramatic play, and construction, our Kaiako provide endless opportunities to explore and build on working theories about the world. Spontaneous teaching moments enrich individual learning journeys.
